You dont want to cast a seven mana overload spell in Pioneer as it doesnt help your game plan, and there are other effective spells you can cast instead
This doesnt limit you to instant and sorceries that the deck likes to focus on
Remie didn't play a lot of green cards in his main deck or anything, he just realized that as long as a RW deck is already willing to play Bloodstained Mire, Flooded Strand, Windswept Heath, and Wooded Foothills (as Tsapko's straight RW was), it might as well get paid off
(Youll start with the right amount of lands and creatures to play on your first few turns.) The Beginner Box also includes a pair of manuals that guide new players through their first game with the vampire and cat decks
And because of that, I cant say its fantastic
Elspeth can come down in the mid-game since she costs five mana, either establishing a board presence with her first two abilities or destroying a problematic creature of your opponents, making her a control players dream planeswalker
